What we say
The statement 'baked not fried' may give the impression that ARNOTT'S Shapes Crispy Puffs are reasonably healthy, but don't let it fool you. Vegetable oil is this product's second ingredient (and judging by the level of saturated fats it contains, it's not a healthy variety), and salt is also high up in a long list of ingredients.
ARNOTT'S Shapes are also sold in lunchbox-sized packs, and as an occasional snack in small portion sizes they're fine. But they are more-ish, so if you're buying a box rather than the multi-packs, try to limit how much the kids eat.
Additives listed: Starch (E1401), Raising agents (E500, E450), Flavour enhancers (E621, E635), Food acids (E270, E330, E327, E331), Emulsifiers (E471, E322, E491), Mineral salt (E339), Thickeners (E414, E415).
