Most kids love chicken nuggets. BAIADA Chicken Crackles - chicken portions coated with batter (tempura-style) rather than breadcrumbs - are a variation on the theme. Like nuggets, they're a handy standby to keep in the freezer, but not something to serve on a regular basis. They contain less salt and fat than some regular nuggets (see our review of STEGGLES Chicken Nuggets), but will only remain a moderate fat option if you bake or grill them without adding extra fat, not shallow- or deep-fry them as per a couple of the on-pack suggestions.
BAIADA Chicken Crackles are 'rich in chicken breast' (according to the label) but they're still only 61% chicken, so skin-free chicken breast would be a better option. But as a convenient, occasional meal - and if you serve them with vegetables - you could do a lot worse.
