What we say

It's to be expected that HANS Leg Ham & Cheese Sticks would be high in sodium, as salt is used to preserve the meat and cheese is naturally a salty product. But just one serve (25g, or two sticks) will contribute a quarter of the upper level of daily sodium intake that's acceptable for an eight-year-old, which is a pretty hefty whack from such a small portion of food.

Cubes of reduced-salt ham served with some vegetable sticks or fruit slices would make a healthier snack option.
