IXL Fruit Bars are available in apple, orange and raspberry flavours. Each bar is 33% fruit (with just 1.5% apple, orange or raspberry in the respective flavoured bars), and the next two ingredients are sugar and glucose syrup, with the fourth being coconut which is boosting the saturated fat content.
The individually wrapped portions are convenient as a portable snack or for your child's lunchbox. But you need to be careful with these fruit sticks as the sugar can stick to little teeth. This activates bacteria that attack teeth and can cause decay.
IXL Fruit Bars claim to be a 'nutritious anytime, anywhere snack'. But genuinely 'real fruit' - sliced or diced to suit little hands - is a much healthier option.
