What we say
KELLOGG'S Corn Flakes Wholegrain is a new take on an old favourite.
In addition to corn, 54% of the product is wholegrain cereal (whole wheat and brown rice), meaning it's minimally processed so contains more of the natural goodness found in the grain than if it was refined. Whole grains are rich in protective antioxidants and minerals, and there's now good evidence that wholegrain cereals protect you against heart disease and some cancers.
Compared to regular KELLOGG'S Corn Flakes, the wholegrain version contains more than twice as much fibre - it's a moderate 5.4% fibre, compared to a flimsy 2.6%. It's also far less salty, with almost half as much sodium. Picking the healthier of the two is a no brainer - KELLOGG'S Corn Flakes Wholegrain is a much better choice. But there are still healthier cereals on the market.
