What we say
Shaped food is always a hit with kids, and McCAIN's Potato Smiles are no exception. They're 87% potato. Best of all, they can be ready to eat in less than five minutes - depending on how you heat them.
You can cook them in the oven, under the grill or in a sandwich press. Just don't be tempted to deep fry them in oil (as one of the instructions on pack suggests) as they've already been cooked in canola oil (hence the amber light for fat). The same goes for adding salt - a 125g serve already contains a third of the upper level of sodium intake that's acceptable for an eight-year-old to have in a day. (BIRDS EYE Potato Gems are marginally lower in fat and salt.)
Serve Potato Smiles with some grilled fish and a green salad as a healthy fish and chips alternative for your child.
