NESTLÉ Cheerios

  Nutrients per 100g How much?
NESTLÉ Cheerios
Total fat 3.9 g OK OK
Saturated fat 1.1 g A little A little
Sugars 21.6 g A lot A lot
Sodium 500 mg OK OK

What we say

NESTLÉ Cheerios have the goodness of 4 whole grains! Plus a whole lot of sugar - more than 20%. They're not exactly high in sodium but NESTLÉ Cheerios will still make a decent contribution to a child's daily salt intake.

The total fat content isn't something to be too worried about but the ingredients list shows that palm oil (a saturated fat) is used.

With 6.6% fibre, NESTLÉ Cheerios are an adequate source of fibre for children but there are plenty of cereals that have more. If you're going to give it to the kids regularly, don't add any sugar. There's plenty in NESTLÉ Cheerios already.
