What we say
The figures above are for P&N Extra Juicy made up as directed (one part cordial to four parts water).
P&N Extra Juicy cordial claims to be 90% fruit juice (made from reconstituted apple juice). This sounds great, and it's certainly an improvement on many cordials available. But bear in mind that when made up as directed it contains just 18% fruit juice. And just one 200mL serve contains almost a fifth of the sugar that's reasonable for an eight-year old to have in a day. And, of course, it contains no fibre. So it's no substitute for eating a piece of fresh fruit.
It's preservative free, so unlike many other cordials it needs to be refrigerated after opening.
Additives listed: Food acid (330), Vitamin C (300), Colour (122), Dimethyl dicarbonate (242).
