What we say
It's to be expected that PRIMO Honey Leg Ham would be high in sodium, as salt is used to preserve the meat. But just one serve (50g) will contribute over a half of the recommended daily sodium intake that's acceptable for an eight-year-old.
Look out for reduced-salt versions of leg ham instead as, generally speaking, leg ham is a low-fat and convenient meat to use on sandwiches or as a snack.
Additives: Food acid (325), mineral salts (450, 451, 452), antioxidant (316) and sodium nitrite (250).
