What we say
YOGO Choc Rock dairy snack isn't as evil, nutritionally, as it might sound. It's low in fat, with a moderate amount of sugar, despite it being the second ingredient. Milk, the biggest ingredient, will contribute some of that.
At 150g, however, it's a reasonably large serve, so one tub provides 21% of the daily sugar that's acceptable for an eight-year-old. On the upside, one tub contributes 23% of an eight-year-old's recommended dietary intake of calcium.
There are certainly worse snacks to occasionally serve up for dessert or put in your child's lunchbox - although a teacher is likely to take a red texta to the label, which reads "rockin da city wiv a long block of nonstop choc".
